Is This Really Presidential?

President Barack Obama appeared on NBC’s Late Night with Jimmy Fallon this week and assisted in delivering a “slow jam” of the news. You read that right.  A sitting President of the United States appeared on a low-rated, late night talk show to do a comedy bit? The worst part is that it really wasn’t …

Newt Was Never Going To Win

Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich will reportedly bow out of the race for the GOP nomination next week, according to “unnamed sources” within his camp.  It is also believed that Gingrich will formally support the party’s presumed nominee, Mitt Romney. I suppose this story is newsworthy because Gingrich is a well-known figure, but…c’mon…let’s …

The Worst Political Ad I’ve Ever Seen

Congratulations to former Pennsylvania Senator and Presidential Hopeful Rick Santorum! His campaign has managed to produce the worst 30 second spot I’ve seen in my life. In it, a supposed Mitt Romney lookalike uses a paintball gun to fire shots of mud at Santorum–all of which miss their target.  It’s title?  Absolutely terrible: “Rombo.” (If …

Audio From My Appearance on WNYC’s “The Takeaway”

I was a guest yesterday in a roundtable segment on WNYC’s “The Takeaway” on Public Radio talking about the New Hampshire Primary.  In the interview, I discuss my difficulty in selecting a candidate, the general malaise I believe affected voters and what a victory in New Hampshire means for Mitt Romney. The audio from the …

Primary Malaise…

startingpoint

This past Friday, I appeared briefly on CNN to discuss being a disaffected voter in the New Hampshire Primary. Starting Point with Soledad O’Brien was broadcasting live from the Airport Diner in Manchester, NH. They had asked three of us to come down to be interviewed and it turned into a very quick and very …

NH 2012: Thoughts on the NBC/Facebook Debate…

Random, bullet thoughts on today’s super-sized Meet the Press which doubled as a Republican Presidential Debate… For a debate that involved Facebook, I sort of expected more integration. It’s only the largest social network in the history of civilization. Logistically, NBC gets a D for planning an event like this in a city like Concord …
