No one else in the world has a change of power with the pomp, pageantry and peacefulness of the United States of America.
Today, Barack Hussein Obama will take the oath of office and become our 44th Commander in Chief.
Regardless of politics, this is an event that is good for America. The peaceful transfer of power is a reminder of how beautiful our particular form of democracy works.
So, for today, I congratulate and celebrate President Barack Obama’s ascension to the White House. Truly an amazing day for America and her citizens–a day which history will remember for generations.
