Contrary to popular belief, I am indeed still alive…and so is my blog. LOL
I’ve been having some issues with my diverticulitis the past few weeks and, honestly, the last thing on my mind has been blogging. I’ve been recovering and have been feeling better the past several days, so…here I am!
Since I haven’t chimed in since the election, let me start with that…
Yes. Barack Obama won the election.
Was it a landslide? No. Not even close. (This was a landslide.)
as it a decisive victory? You bet. Obama beat McCain handily and the night was over pretty early.
I said back during the election season that I thought this cycle was a lot like 1992 and it turned out I was right. The campaign boiled down to “It’s the economy, stupid,” and there’s no way McCain could have prevailed against that.
We conservative bloggers are now the voice of the minority. We’re the voice of the opposition now and, unlike the liberal Netroots types, our dissent needs to be substantive and free of the spite and vitriol they have spewed for the last eight years.
I got an email today from a reader that said the following:
It is december 5 2008,and the socialist liberals have won you need to do everything you can to stop these jackasses from taking america away and keeping the freedom for them selves. keep bloging and pray that real americans take back the country. thanks
Amen to that.
