ABC affiliate WMUR Channel 9 out of Manchester, New Hampshire has started a contest of sorts.
They’re looking for fifteen bloggers–5 Democrats, 5 Republicans and 5 Independents–to cover the upcoming debates at St. Anselm’s College in June, both of which are sponsored in part by WMUR.
WMUR is excited to invite you to play an essential role in the primary election season. You can become one of WMUR’s official blogging representatives and be invited to attend the presidential primary debates held in New Hampshire. All you have to do is blog about the race for the White House and convince fellow New Hampshire residents that your voice best represents their interests.
New Hampshire residents are invited to blog about the presidential campaign on WMUR.gather.com. Each blogger tags his/her article with “wmur” and “democrat” “republican” or “independent” (depending on how you self-identify politically) then offer your own personal perspective in the current race for the White House. Each original blog is considered one entry. You are welcome to enter as many times as you like. As blogs are submitted, the gather community will read, comment and vote on the articles. The goal is to identify the clearest, strongest voices from each established party. The bloggers with the highest rated articles win.
So, I’ll be doing a bit of “double duty,” but I’ll be posting links to my WMUR/Gather postings here on ConBlog.
The first of my posts for the WMUR contest is here: Thoughts on the GOP…
(Technophiles: the RSS feed for my postings out there can be found here.)
Although I don’t have open commenting here on ConBlog, please feel free to comment and vote on any of the WMUR/Gather posts. With any luck, I’ll be there for both debates! If you’re a New Hampshire resident, you could be in the running, too. All you have to do is sign up and post.
Wish me luck!
William Smith
