The Pentagon Memorial Fund…

“Only You Can Build This Memorial.”

Much like the beautiful World War II Memorial that now sits in between the Washington Monument and the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, DC, it appears that a memorial to the 9/11 victims at the Pentagon will never be built without our help.
From their website:

On September 11, 2001, Flight 77 was taken hostage by terrorists and used to attack the Pentagon killing a total of 184 individuals. The Pentagon Memorial Fund was established to build a lasting tribute to the fallen victims… a place of remembrance for those who died, a place of comfort and reflection for those of us left behind and a place of hope and renewal for future generations.

Ground was broken for the memorial in June of this year. They are hoping to secure donations of at least $9.11 from Americans of all walks of life to help finance the construction and maintenance.
It’s a beautiful design and I look forward to seeing it in person someday.
I can do $9.11 and I hope you can, too.
