“The New Media” at Work…

Today, the media is abuzz with the story of Congressman Robert Wexler (D-FL) and his appearance on Comedy Central’s “The Colbert Report” where he joked about cocaine and prostitutes being “fun.”
That’s today, anyway. Nice to see they’re three days behind me.
Three days ago, on July 21, I blogged about the story and even included a link to the video.
Today, the media thinks it’s “big news.”
I’m not normally one to pat myself on the back, but where the hell were they for three days? But, they’re right…blogs can’t compete with the traditional media outlets. We’re not professional enough. There’s no accountability.
I’m going to pat myself on the back anyway, thanks. I had a three day scoop on the Media Spin Machine—that’s all that matters to me today.
