I have a belief. It’s that local politics is boring. I think it bores most people to tears and they can’t be bothered with it as long as their roads are clear and as long as the basic services are met. I still vote in as many elections as possible, but I don’t typically comment on local issues and contests because they’re dull.
Until now, that is.
I know of a candidate for the New Hampshire State Senate who is against continuing the “War on Drugs.”
He’s for freedom and personal responsibility.
He’s pro-life.
He’s against gun control laws.
He’s against sodomy laws, but also against gay adoption.
He’s “invented a church.” (His words, not mine.)
He’s written a “A libertarian, religious, erotic fantasy” novel. (Which he markets with the line, “Brighten up a prisoner’s day. Send him a copy of Billy’s Reward.”)
He’s all these things, but he has one other stance that’ll surprise you: he’s for killing cops.
You read that right—Tom Alciere is for murdering police officers. Here’s a taste of what’s on his personal homepage, located at http://www.tomalciere.com:
Too many cops and not enough cop-killers.
When soldiers perform the operations of cops, they are, for all intents and purposes, cops.
Too many cops turning back relief supply trucks. Not enough cop-killers to get the trucks through.
Too many cops detaining citizens at the Superdome and the Convention Center. Not enough cop-killers to free the hostages.
Too many cops forcing citizens to evacuate against their will. Not enough cop-killers to stop the kidnappings.
Too many cops stopping citizens, frisking them, hassling and interrogating them and demanding the production of identification, in violation of Article I secion 5 of the Louisiana State Constitution. Not enough cop-killers to preserve, protect and defend the constitutional rights of the citizens. It would be better, in my opinion, if citizens banded together. One guy with a bad attitude marches down the street, gets confronted, tells the cops to get lost, while Freedom Fighters nearby wait until the cop lays a hand on the citizen, at which point, they shoot the cop dead on the spot. The only ultimatum that will ever have any meaning to chiefs and sheriffs is, cops under control, or cops under flowers. In case they don’t know it, we don’t necessarily draw the line where they draw the line, between the authority of the government and the rights of the citizens.
Too many cops looting. Not enough cop-killers shooting.
Absolutely sickening, isn’t it? This piece of…work…is running to represent District 13 in the New Hampshire State Senate. To add insult to injury, he’s running as a Republican.
Alciere rationalizes his twisted beliefs with the phrase, “Whatever is necessary is necessary.” He thinks it’s logical, but what he fails to recognize is that his twisted beliefs are anything but rational. Violence and murder cannot be rationalized with any kind of logic since they are born out of emotion. If Mr. Alciere had half a mind, he’d understand that.
He’s clearly held these beliefs for quite a while, too. Fellow blogger Michelle Malkin wrote about him all the way back in 2001.
People with the sick and disgusting foundation of ideas like these shouldn’t be allowed to hold office of any kind.
Luckily, residents of District 13 have a choice.
Challenging Alciere in the Republican Primary is Dennis Hogan, an attorney who practices in Nashua, New Hampshire. Hogan is launching a write-in campaign hoping to defeat Alciere and is sending out a plea to all GOP faithful to help.
Anyone wishing to give money to his campaign can send a donation here:

Checks can be made payable to “Dennis Hogan for NH Senate.” His business website can be found at www.dchoganlaw.com. Let’s all do what we can to make Dennis Hogan’s write-in candidacy successful.
Tom Alciere needs to be sent a message that his brand of hatred has no place in Concord.
Let’s get the word out.
