ABC News: Batman Takes Aim at Osama
I read this at first and I thought it was a joke. However, the more I think about it, the more I can’t wait to read this graphic novel.
I absolutely love Frank Miller’s work. I think it’s dark and violent and extremely well told. To me, his work is genius and i can’t wait to see how this turns out. Besides, with the “World’s Greatest Detective” on the case, Osama doesn’t think he’ll be able to run, does he?
I’ve always been fascinated by the Batman character because he’s a man. He’s not a mutant. He’s not an alien. He doesn’t have some special power. He’s a man who has worked and driven himself to be better than he is so he can rid Gotham of crime.
Batman is a part of American folklore and, as Miller says, “It just seems silly to chase around the Riddler when you’ve got al Qaeda out there.”
Indeed. I can’t wait to read this book.
