BREITBART.COM – Sen. Clinton Urges Democrats to Speak Up
“She Who Shall Not Be Named” hammered Republicans in a speech this week, stating that the GOP’s election plan is “All we’ve got is fear and we’re going to keep playing the fear card.”
Here are some prime Voldemort quotes from the speech:
“I take a back seat to nobody when it comes to fighting terrorism and standing up for national homeland security.”
“You cannot explain to me why we have not captured or killed the tallest man in Afghanistan.”
“Since when has it been part of American patriotism to keep our mouths shut?”
Senator Voldemort, it is not part of American patriotism to keep your mouth shut. No one has ever said that. However, you criticize every single thing about this war except our troops—yet, this war is their primary focus and objective. Criticizing the way this war is being prosecuted, by default, IS a criticism of our troops and you and your Liberal tree-hugging, war protesting buddies just don’t seem to get that.
If you had anything but contempt for the military, then perhaps you’d understand this concept.
Please, don’t keep your mouth shut. Keep talking. I beg you. You’re only helping my side. Speak up, indeed.
“The tallest man in Afghanistan?” You’re kidding, right? Looking for someone tall will make this easier? Oh…well…what the hell were we thinking then? Thanks for passing this gem on to us, Voldy. We oughta have that little rascal snatched up in no time!
I’m willing to bet Senator Voldemort employed the same strategy and lateral thinking in her meticulous search for the Rose Law Firm billing records, as well.
The reason why the Democrats seem “soft” on national security is simple: they are. She is right on one point though, this most certainly is about fear.
There’s a difference between “playing the fear card” and not becoming complacent. Let’s face it, Americans have terribly short attention spans when it comes to current events and it’s easy to be lulled into a false sense of security when there haven’t been any attacks on our soil since 9/11. We need to be a little fearful. This is an enemy that wants only one thing: the destruction of western civilization—and that means wiping out as many of us as they can. We need to have a little fear when it comes to terrorism, thanks. Having anything less has disasterous consequences.
That’s not melodrama, Senator. That’s not fear-baiting. That’s the truth—and the sooner you can face up to that, then maybe you really will be able to get out of the back seat when it comes to homeland security.
Until then, keep talking Voldy. You’re only proving our point for us.
