A Day Late and a Dollar Short…

It’s 2006 which means that this year is a mid-term election year. Granted it happens in November, but races will start to get off the ground soon. Republicans and Democrats look to mid-terms as their opportunity to gain seats in Congress. Candidates will start hitting the trail soon and getting as much press and camera time as they can.
Someone’s gotten a bit of a head start in the media, however. About two years worth…
We were barely into the new year when the AP ran a story by Andrew Miga titled “Kerry Positioned for ’08 White House Bid.” The article details how John Kerry is strategically placing himself for a run in 2008.
The problem is not only that it’s only 2006 and this article is about a year early.
The problem is not only that the AP has run this story on the wires.
The problem is not only that Kerry never stopped running.
The problem is they’re only about a MONTH late to the story!
I wrote on these very pages on December 4, 2005 about how John Kerry hasn’t stopped running since he lost the 2004 election and that he was gonna try to carry that momentum right through 2008. I beat the AP to the punch a month ago, and they’re treating this like it’s news!
Way to go Associated Press! Great job breaking the story on Kerry!
