Alec Baldwin’s Myopic Crystal Ball…

You remember Alec Baldwin, right? I mean, forget the fact that he hasn’t put out a film that anyone’s watched in years. (Wait…plenty of people did see The SpongeBob SquarePants MovieI stand corrected.) Well apparently Mr. Baldwin has found plenty of time to gaze into his crystal ball and make some predictions for 2006.
The Blog | Alec Baldwin: Predictions for 2006 | The Huffington Post
Is this jackass serious? (Wait…don’t answer that.)
This is the same clown who reportedly threatened to leave the United States if George W. Bush was elected in 2000. At least, that was the story according to his ex-wife, with whom he is involved in one of the most spiteful and vitriolic custody battles I’ve ever heard of. (In fact, it’s apparently so bitter that he might even cash in on it by writing a book. Yet, I digress…)
This doesn’t stop the “Actor/Activist” from trying to forecast the future, though.

My prediction for 2006 is a multiple, all connected politically. I predict that another barrage of fierce storms and hurricanes will so disturb the American people, that the Democrats will take the Senate in the ’06 election and whittle away at the House in those races as well.

Wow…there’s a winning strategy, kids. The Libs can’t win with their platform so people like Alec Baldwin are going to rely on…hurricanes? You have got to be kidding me! So…let me get this straight—Alec Baldwin thinks that devastation, destruction and death is the way the Democrats can win back Senate seats and, ultimately, the White House?
That’s absolutely disgusting and reprehensible.
But, what can you realistically expect from people who can’t win at the ballot box based on their ideas and platform? Let’s examine a few other gems from Alec:

This government, ferociously and blindly partisan, has been for sale since the 2000 election.

Right, silly me…I forgot that the Clinton administration was so far beyond reproach by renting out the Lincoln Bedroom and accepting campaign contributions from from the Chinese.
How has the Bush administration been for sale, Alec? I’ll tell you the same thing I tell the rest of my liberal friends :show me proof. Get me the actual evidence and I’ll be the first person to lead the charge for prosecution and impeachment.
Proof, Alec. Not empty claims.

Hastert and Frist are moral cowards who wanted to hide behind fealty to their President as a means of passing the buck and all of their responsibilities onto the administration.

Hastert and Frist are moral cowards? No, a moral coward is someone who predicts hurricanes are the way his party is going to win back seats in the Legislative and Executive branches. Tell me this, Alec: if Frist and Hastert are hiding behind the President due to fealty, then why is it that George W. Bush has had such a difficult time getting his agenda advanced through Congress? Hmmmmm??

(The results have been disastrous. Only in this universe can a fool like Ted Stevens say that defeat of ANWAR drilling is the saddest day of his life. This tired old Oil Whore has been selling the American people and his colleagues a line of this nonsense for too long. Conservation and alternatives are the answer. Not letting corrupt pols like Stevens line the pockets of their contributors.)

Ted Stevens is a fool, Alec? He’s on YOUR SIDE as far as ANWAR drilling goes! He’s defending YOUR POSITION!! Wow. Amazing, huh?
This next one is the best one, though:

Thirdly, a Democratic Senate, and its influence on what may also be a diminished Republican majority in the House, will lead to Cheney’s impeachment.

The seeds of Cheney’s impeachment will be sown in 2006. He will be impeached by 2008.

OK…so you’ve heard it from Academy Award Nominated actor Alec Baldwin first. After the hurricanes cause so much destruction that it helps the Democrats win back Congress (and maybe even the White House), that will give them the seats they need to impeach Vice President Cheney by 2008.
I was wrong. His crystal ball isn’t myopic. It’s delusional. This is the way the Hollyweirdos actually think, though. They seek to frighten as many people as possible into voting their way. They can’t sell their ideas so they’ll advance their agenda through fear and with alarmist rhetoric which they sell with their celebrity.
Every time someone like Alec Baldwin publishes his views for the world to read, it’s like a big ol’ Christmas gift to you and me. Baldwin forgets he pretends to be other people for a living and that there is a real world out there that he should consider living in.
Perhaps he should go back to what he’s best at: hosting Saturday Night Live.
