Happy Blogiversary to Me!!…

Where does the time go?
As I sit here this evening, it’s hard to believe that two years have gone by since this site went live. What started as my own exercise in freedom of speech has become a commentary that’s read by a fair amount of people—when I update, that is.
I’ve found that to be difficult in the last year. In fact, many people noticed that I was gone for a good chunk of the summer. I learned that being a homeowner (and a single homeowner, at that) takes up a lot of time! Year two saw almost as much growth as year one, and my inability to update the site over the summer months probably impacted some growth and traffic, but things are back on track now and better than ever.
I’ve also learned in the last year that I get a lot of feedback from Liberals. Nine times out of ten it’s written with a false name and email address and the argument doesn’t hold water, but it’s nice to know they’re reading…and commenting. I get feedback from Conservatives, too, and it’s usually quite constructive. There are disagreements, but there is always respect.
There are still as many people reading and I’m thankful for you all. It amazes me at times that something which was started out of my own frustration and desire to be heard has become something which a lot of people read and enjoy. That means more to me than many of you could know, and I offer you my thanks.
Year two also saw the addition of the ConBlog.com domain so you all don’t have to type as much.
So, as we start year three, we have a few things to look forward to. Soon, you can expect to see the all new and improved “ConBlog 5.0 with Extra Fiber.” You’ll also see more frequent updates, and perhaps some more guest blogs from good friends of mine—some which agree with the Conservative view, and maybe even some that don’t.
Either way, there will be plenty more reasons and opportunity to keep coming back to ConBlog, and I certainly hope you do.
Cheers to blogiversary number two. Here’s to many more…
